These are the important Kerala developments to watch out for today.

1. The India Meteorological Department predicts widespread showers in the state on the Saturday before the arrival of the southwest monsoon in early June.

2. Bihar’s Chief Deputy Minister and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader will preside over RJD’s merger with Loktantrik Janata Dal (LJD) in Kozhikode. He will later address himself to a public meeting.

3. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan will address the valedictory function of the Kerala Police Officers Association in Kochi.

4. The Kerala Municipal and Corporate Staff Union (KMCSU) will merge with the Kerala NGO Union, both leading left-wing organisations, at a function in Thiruvananthapuram.
