New Delhi, May 26 (IANS) Reliance (NS:) Consumer Products Limited (RCPL), the arm of FMCG and a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Retail Ventures Limited (RRVL), announced its foray into the snack food category on Friday. western with the release of Alan’s Bugles in India.

For the first time, snack consumers in India can enjoy Bugles, the international corn chip snack brand with over 50 years of heritage, owned by General Mills and available in major global markets, including the UK, the US and the Middle East.

Speaking about the launch, an RCPL spokesperson said: “With the launch of Alan’s, we want to ensure that the aspiring Indian consumer can try and enjoy rich and premium offerings to satiate their snacking needs. We intend to actively participate in the growing western market snack food market with increased focus on flavor profile and overall experience We are excited to launch Alan’s snack range starting with Bugles which is yet another step towards expanding our market presence of mass consumer goods”.

Alan’s Bugles will offer a premium snacking experience to Indian consumers and will be available at affordable prices starting at Rs 10 in flavors like Original (Salty), Tomato and Cheese. The launch is in line with RCPL’s vision of offering quality products to Indian consumers at affordable prices.

The RCPL launch of Alan’s Bugles will start in Kerala and gradually expand to all over India. With the launch, RCPL further strengthens its versatile FMCG portfolio comprising a wide range of beverages with Campa, Sosyo and Raskik, daily staples with Independence, confectionery with Toffeeman, biscuits with Maliban and a range of personal care and for the home with Glimmer and Dozo, among others.
