Naughty Dog announces a “new single player experience” alongside Last of Us multiplayer delay

Naughty Dog has a new single player game in development.

He Unexplored the developer was expected to show his The last of us multiplayer project at this week’s PlayStation Showcase. It wasn’t like that, but on Fridayshared some news about the game, as well as a surprise announcement that he’s working on a brand new game.

The wording of the announcement does not make it clear if this new single player experience is set in the universe of The last of us or if it is something completely different. We’ve reached out for comment and will update you when we hear more.

The brief announcement also let fans know that The last of us The multiplayer game needs more time to cook before Naughty Dog can reveal it.

It’s been a while since Naughty Dog did anything that wasn’t related to The last of us. Earlier this year, he released The last of us on HBO and PC. The first received rave reviews, the second… less so. Naughty Dog has built a reputation for delivering the highest quality narrative experiences, so whatever this new game is, expect it to make you feel.
