At first glance, Valorant may look like any other first-person shooter, but it’s a very technical game that requires a lot of small tweaks across the board.

An important aspect related to perfecting a player’s aim is finding the perfect crosshair, either by adjusting the default crosshair, which can honestly be a painstaking job, or by simply copying someone else’s crosshair.

Fortunately, the developers have implemented ways to make this process easier. Players no longer need to request Valorant crosshair codes they like and can simply use the copy crosshair feature that was added along with the 5.04 patch update.

How to copy crosses in Valorant

There are times when you come across a brilliant player and instantly want to have the scope they are using or maybe you see a crooked crosshair and are curious to experience what it feels like to play with such a strange piece of art.

Whatever the reason, it is now possible to copy any crosshair you find in Valorant and users don’t even require the respective crosshair code.

This became possible after the developers added some quality of life improvements to the game in August 2022, including the ability to copy the crosshair of anyone you’re looking at as a new crosshair profile.

This is how you can copy any crosshair in Valorant.

  1. Tap enter to open your chat box when you see someone whose crosshairs you like and want to copy.

  2. Type “/cross copy” into the chat box and hit enter.

  3. You can also type “/cc” in case there is a time crisis.

Now the new crosshair has been added to its own setup. This is how you can save it as a separate crosshair profile.

  1. Go to general settings.

  2. Click on ‘Crosshair’.

  3. Here you will be able to see a box with all your different crosshairs listed.

  4. Choose any empty crosshair profile and save the settings that have been copied.

  5. Now, you can make further adjustments as per your requirements to further customize the scope with minor size adjustments and custom colors.

Here are some things to keep in mind when copying crosshairs in Valorant.

  1. Make sure you have an empty crosshair profile available.

  2. A player can have a maximum of 15 different crosshair profiles, but if they are all full, the user will not be able to copy them correctly.

  3. This method can be used to copy crosshair codes only when the desired player is observed. Therefore, it is not available in game modes such as Deathmatch and Escalation, where opponents cannot be observed.

Interestingly, you can also share your own crosshair code with anyone else by simply sharing it with them as follows.

  1. Go to settings.

  2. Click on ‘Crosshair’.

  3. Click on the box that shows an up arrow. This is the export crosshair button and allows you to successfully share your crosshair settings with others.

  4. Once the code is copied, you can simply send it to anyone within the game or even outside of it.

Now that you know this, hopefully your game will improve overall. Plus, you’ll be able to try out any crosshairs you feel like experimenting with, whether it’s to improve your aim or just see how difficult some players make the game unnecessarily.
