Legendary Dharmendra, said to be the most handsome Indian actor ever, is very happy with Karan Johar’s Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani.

“Shoot with Karan and the entire cast was like a picnic. Kab shuroo hua aur kab kab khatm, pataa hi nahin chala (I didn’t realize when it started and when it ended). Karan took very good care of us. He is such a well educated boy. Polite and smooth. But he knows how to get the performances he wants out of his cast.”
Why did it take Dharmendra so long to work with Karan Johar? “Dekho, jab jo hone ko hota hai tabhi woh hota hai (things happen when they are meant to happen). Shabana Azmi and I were going to work together on a movie called Bichhoo (in 1982) which Sai Paranjpye was to direct. We did the mahurat and the shooting was about to start. For whatever reason, it was never made. And now here we are, working together.”
Dharmendra is all praise for his two iconic co-stars. “Shabana is a great artist, the world knows it. I worked with Jaya on her first film, Guddi, where she played my fan. Now that I’m working with her again, I feel like I’m her ‘fan’ of hers.
